Sources of Obesogenic Food Among Adolescents in School Settings
The study examines the extent of inequality in food environment for adolescents in Maryland. The first aim of the study is to assess availability of healthy and unhealthy food outlets and food/drink sales by socioeconomic patterns of neighborhoods in Maryland. For the second aim, the team has developed the Baltimore food Environment for Adolescents (B'EAt) study to investigate adolescents' interactions with food environment in Baltimore during commute to school and during school hours. In Year 2, the team will largely focus on the quantitative analyses of the food outlet/sales data.
